The arrival of the latest Samsung devices is getting closer. In February of this year, the South Korean company presented the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra as well as the Galaxy Tab S8 in the first Unpacked of 2022. Well, after one initial leak by Evan Blassconfirmed that The next event will take place on August 10th.

On this occasion, Samsung has not revealed the date directly, but has played with a riddle so that it is the users who discover it. So he published three pictures on his Twitter account: the first shows a grid with letters, numbers and symbols, the second just a grid with colors.

The third image shows six colored circles accompanied by a legend says that day “something bigger” will come. If we match each of them with the information in the previous images, we can solve the mystery. The result? 081022, which can be understood as month/day/year, which translates to 08/10/2022.

What can we expect from Samsung Unpacked?

Rumors and leaks that have been doing the rounds for a long time suggest that we will see new folding devices and smartwatches at this event. If we consider Samsung’s movements in the past, we can highlight that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 were presented in August last year.

No major design changes are expected at the fold level. We would find devices very similar to those presented in 2021, but a little more compact. Yes indeed, the most significant changes would come under the hoodwith more power, but the leaks don’t provide details about the type of processor they will have.

The Galaxy Watch5 could also enter the stage. These will be the first to release Wear OS 3.5 and One UI Watch 4.5. Leaks suggest we’ll have three versions this year instead of two, as a “Pro” variant with a titanium finish is launching. A series of renders based on leaks allow us to get an idea of its design.

Will we see more news in Samsung Unpacked? Does the company save on surprises? We’ll just have to wait to find out. In Xataka we will be very attentive to everything presented during the event. As always, you can follow the live coverage with us.
